This educational case follows a 5-year-old male with Trisomy 21 scheduled for an elective tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy for management of obstructive sleep apnea. This scenario is designed to challenge learners on pediatric airway anatomy, anesthetic considerations specific to Down syndrome, pediatric fluid and dosing calculations, and recognition and management of emergence delirium.
